Authentic Sri Lankan Cooking Classes
I offer private cooking classes for 1 to 5 persons. We will cook 3 different types of curry, rice and coconut sambol. I will show you how to prepare your meal in the traditional Sri Lankan way.
I want to provide you with the best experience – so we can arrange the cooking class according to your personal wishes. You can choose the type of curry (e.g. pumpkin, dhal, green beans, eggplant, fish, chicken) or request other local dishes.
All food is included. Price on request.
Duration: 1-2 hours.
Where: At my home in the Tamil-Sinhalese village of Arugam Bay, directly across from Coco Bay. The house is located on a small sandy hill, behind a wonderful big tree.
I make my own curry powder, based on our traditional family recipe. I only use natural ingredients, including curry leaves, fennel, fenugreek, coriander, cloves, cumin and pepper. I fill the curry powder into nice, little glasses at my house – this is the perfect gift to bring home!
Take Away Service
I also offer homemade Sri Lankan rice and curry for take away. You can pre-order your favourite rice and curry in the morning and pick it up later for lunch or dinner.
Curry options: vegetable, chicken or fish. Service available every day; pre-order 3 hours in advance.
